Ming Wang's work is drawn from impressions, emotions, and personal encounters around urban and natural landscapes. She investigates daily scenes and objects, searches for metaphor and meaning in the mundane, and utilizes them to build psychological landscapes. In these landscapes, imaginary characters travel through city and interior scenes, inviting viewers to experience the work from their infrequent perspectives. Through painting, drawing, and prints, she captures the sensation of fleeting moments. Whether it's the sensation of lying on summer grass, gazing at tree canopies, wandering through a city at night, watching the river flow, or recalling a conversation on park benches—these scenes evoke a mix of déjà vu and dream-like unfamiliarity.
