Join us for “Healing Through Recycled Paper Clay Vase Making” - a 90-minute journey of mindfulness and creativity as we transform recycled materials into beautiful paper clay vases. Using old newspapers, single-use plastics, and other waste, participants will explore the therapeutic act of mixing, molding, and painting paper clay. The workshop begins with a calming seated yoga session to relax the body, followed by guided instructions to craft your own vase. You'll enjoy a mindful tea and snack break before concluding with a meditation to center your thoughts. Paper clay, made from paper pulp and a binding agent, offers a tactile experience that fosters relaxation through its repetitive, rhythmic motions. Painting your creation enhances this process, encouraging focus and creativity while soothing the nervous system. By repurposing waste materials, this workshop emphasizes sustainability and transformation, turning discarded items into art. It’s a healing experience for both you and the planet, offering a moment of reflection and renewal.
*All materials will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own newspaper, plastic or glass bottles if you would like to recycle.
*Includes complimentary tea breaks and snacks.
